Justification: Give essential criteria for a proper identification of weed seedlings in summer crops.
Apply the given botanical knowledge in situ visiting several summer field crops.
To contrast the several phenological variations that weed populations can shown in function of the crop and its management. Consolidate the identification criteria as a the first step to implement correct weed control strategies.

Basic contents: Criteria for monocotyledoneous weed identification in seedling or adult stage. Criteria for dicotyledoneous weed identification in seedling or adult stage. Visits to summer crop fields: corn, fruit trees, vegetables, lucerne.
